Hello, well first of all open the tail gate and remove the two tail gate latches, (the two cords on either side of the tail gate), then when they are removed let the tail gate go as far down as it will go, then simply pull it out, when i did mine i held on to it after the latches were off and i just let it down and then pulled it out, came out no prob.

After you get the cables off, you need to open the tailgate to a 45deg angle then one end will lift out before the other.
