HELP!!! My '88 dak sport 5 speed is stuck in 2nd gear??!! it will not move at all Ive tried crowbars screw drivers hammers you name it i tried it, but it wont budge the least bit, i was at work when it started and i had to drive all the way home in 2nd gear, i got flipped a few birds goin down the highway, but i am STOMPED on this one and have no clue about the Dak transmissions so someone please help me!!!

I hate to say it, but I think you're forked. That is, the shift fork may be broken.

Dude I bet your getting sweet gas mileage.

But god that sucks azz.....check the shift linkage.....just a guess cause im no tranny expert. Take off the boot and look at the bushings where the shifter is......maybe there is something noticeable around this area that might catch your eye and maybe not.
Just tryin to help....good luck!!
