Pict. comming soon Lesley, I didnt know the ID was used in the upload process, I emailed em and they answered me the next day!! I will load some picts tonight.
Keep in mind that my truck is torn apart in the garage getting the 8 3/4 rear so these picts. will be with the stock rims.
Thanks pyrodak/Mark S, I just got finished making a breaker bar out of 4'x2"x1/4" steel, I just drilled holes in it matching the pully bolt holes, screwed it in and it worked great. if it didnt I was going to buy a Strapwrench next.
I agree Intense, I have done mechanical work on and off my whole life but it is still great to get help from helpfull people like you and the ones you mentioned.

Hey Scott. I love that green color man..i miss my old truck. Is that a lund pan you have on the rear? I like the cuda style tips you have on them...Do you have a closer up pic of the pan with the tips? I'm interested in cutting that out before I lay down the finish coat of paint on my truck (graphit metallic)

Greg, yep thats a lund, I tried a few others like God Fathers and they all sucked, Lund had the best fit and finish. I used a Dremmel to cut the tip notches.
Cuda style? they are real 1970 Cuda tips, a little tarnished but I had em laying around so I figured that would be original.
I can take a pict of the rear if you'd like and email it to ya? Also I will be putting up a web site detailing everything I have done to my Dak, kinda like FastDak page.
Short and sweet, I like that, sic.

Thanks Scott, pics would be great...my email is gmconner@juno.com . While I was filling in all the dents in the body I've done a few custom touches and still needed something to do with my exhaust... I think I just found it :). So far I have a lund roll pan, smoothed/shaved tailgate, welded over the stake pocket holes, shaved the radio antenna, filled/smoothed the wiper cowel, and smoothed the front bumper. I also have a 2/4 drop with 15x8 rims and 255/60 tires awaiting to go on. The motor is a whole nother story..hope to be in the mid 14's with a NA 3.9. Oh and my tips would be "cupa like" from what i see a set of 70 cuda tips fetches quite a hefty price =P

Sounds like your quite a good body man, body work is one thing I'm not to good at, I'm more the mechanical type.
Whats the deal on this "Maryland meet"? I'm in VA and go to MD alot, my uncle lives there. Do you live in MD?
Your right, repro Cuda tips are expensive, soon as I get all the mechanical things done with my Dak I'm going to buy a new set as the ones I have now are quite old and showing it.
I cut out the pan for the tips then took it to an exaust shop, I wished the guy would have mounted them a little higher but I can fix that when I get time.
Mid 14's NA huh, thats gonna be one stout engine!!
I'll be sending picts soon as I get time to reduce em for sending.

Heh...well I'm not a very good bodyman...but I have a friend who works at a shop so I have good supervision..lol My old dak went 15.20's in the 1/4 with just bolt ons to the 3.9 and over 100,000miles on it. With a full rebuild on the motor and a few goodies inside I hope to be a bit faster. I'm in bowie maryland..that meet was around baltimore. Where in Va are ya? We usually have a big spring dak meet at virginia motor sports park in richmond. Pics would be great when ya get the time

Oh dude keep me posted on a spring meet at VA Motor Sports park, thats about an hour and a half drive for me, Im in Fredericksburg.
In the "we" you mentioned, are you in a local Dak club of some sort and if so how can I get involved?

Oh by the way, I was raised most of my young life in Laurel which isnt far from you, my uncle works in Beltsville.

"We" is the Dakota Mailing list and guys from www.moparchat.com. Moparchat is just another message board and the mailing list is a email based mailing list..there are about 1500 members nation wide,,its a great resource to have. You can sign up at www.dakota-truck.net. Where in fredricksburg do you live? My parents have a place on lake anna so I'm somewhat familur with the surrounding areas. Nowe that i think of it, On my way to the vmp meet last year i stopped in staffored to pick up a set of sway bars from a fellow dml'r and saw a truck that looked just like yours...maybe it was you....anyways pics would be great and I sent you email about my mods
