36,000 on the clock. changing oil saturday and noticed oil dripping from the bottom of the passenger side shock. thought it was driving a little funny. it's toast. the driver's side shock is wet too. my baby was doing so good. this will be the first thing i change that isn't regular maintenance. not bad!

any other indication that they were gone other than the oil. I've noticed from my 94 2wd v6 when I accelerate has a bump come fromt the front dri side as if some thing won't allow the truck to rise. Then something appears to slip/release and is fine. sort of like when you pull a drawer out and the slides/rollers catch in the rut to hold it in place.

I've also noticed that the engine mount on the dri side has a clean spot as if it is rubbing??

Any Ideas? I replaced the front springs and shocks with 60 000 kms and now have 170 000kms

having bought several ne trucks over the years, i've come to the conclusion that oem shocks are just about worthless. anything over 20,000 miles is pushing your luck with them. yank those original equipment suckers outta there and put in your preference! most anything is better.
