The truck seems to be running better now after the weekend. Like you said, the computer had to learn the new exhaust (flow 50). As far as the AP3923's your right about the heat range cause i've got really nice low end. Pinging seems to have gone away. But how can i get my acceleration and top end back? It acclerates but seems slower now. I don't want to put regular 3923's in if the AP's are doing good for low end. Guess you have to give up one to get the other! Also, do you think i should put a bend back in the tailpipe like the factory bend behind the wheel. Mine is going straight out single. Would that create a little more back pressure and get me some acceleration back? Is the elbow on the factory airbox designed to create a specific air intake into the airbox cause i changed that all around and just have 3" tubing going straight out to the front. Just want to know if that is stopping a good airflow into the airbox. I ordered some wires today, only have enough money to get JBA's, hope they will work better than factory.

I noticed that my acceleration really dropped off with the AP3923's... I'm wondering if maybe I need to go back to the stock heat range until I get more mods. If I floor it, it seems to crawl up to about 2500 RPMs before it starts accelerating real fast. Could be the same problem with yours... though since yours are preventing ping, maybe you should try the regular 3923's. It's not like you can't change em back if you don't like em as well.

yeah true, i only put other plugs in to get rid of the ping. It started pinging after the timing mod, and i don't want to get rid of that mod!! My acceleration has only dropped off since i put the flowmaster 50 on. weird!!! less back pressure i assume.

Put the wires on today. nice wires for the price. it did not help much with my acceleration. should i bend the pipe back to factory again? i'm trying the reg 3923's tonight and see how they work. i think i should have just left the factory muffler on. i'm curious about the gas mileage too now.

On some trucks with little done to the intake side
lowering the back presure will lose you some low
end but the top will be the same or a little
better

My truck starts to run good after 300 to 500 miles
she purs, I always start off rich with the fms
injectors and it takes a while with all the other
mods to tune in.

Playing with diff heat ranges and gaps to find
what runs best in your truck is worth the time
just be sure your getting a nice tan color and
your right on the money
