has anyone tried this on a 97 3.9 dak ?? if so did it work ? im tired of tryin to find something for my truck and findin everything u can think of for a chevy silverado it just pisses me off. either way i ordered one guess if it dont work ill send the damn thing back

i have one on my '02 3.9, works great. i'm keeping it on the 87 octane setting for right now though, cuz of gas prices. but there is a noticeable increase to all the settings, just less to the 87, but even the 87 program is better than stock

yeah but it says 98 and up dakota, and i have a 97, i dont think there is a difference unless its just different calibrations. maybe someone can answer my question

oh thats right, i'm not sure if it will work then, the engines pcm computer is setup differently i believe, but you could give it a try and like you said if it doesnt work just send it back. good luck!

not dumbass n!ggers. The programmer will only work on 98 and up trucks. The tunner links its self with the vehicles vin. Vin and millage were not stored in the pcms till 98. Try to upload the program into a pre 98 truck and it will not see a vin, thus to exchange of info.

Sorry, not gonna happen on a 97.
IMHO it's a waste to buy this and run it on the 87 program. Fill the tank with 93, drive it, fill it with 93 again and you should be able to use the 93 performance setting without it pinging on you. I had one on loan for a while and I definitely miss it now that it's gone.

I used a jet stage 2 chip for quite some time and didn't see
much performance out of it if any.

skip the jet chip, its $hit. i have been looking for a aftermarket chip of some kind but i have not been lucky. i hear some of the later 97 daks can get away with the superchips, i was not one of them. dont get the venom its just a waste of cash. im with every one else just get a shift kit. if you really want to do sumthing to the computer i think krc will rework the comp for you at the tune of 400 i think?

damn, cant do schit with this thing,, so what tranny does this thing have and what shift kit do i need to get? and what about a stall ? mine has the factory 3.55s i would like the 3.91 or a 4.10 but there again if it dont pretain to jegs or summit and a race car i really dont know jack schit about it
