Subject: Pulley Install Question

Message:

Just wondering, the instructions that came with my ASP crank pulley says the belt should be installed on the ribs closest to the engine. Will it matter that I didn't do this??

no thats wrong, you want it to be on a different rib on every pulley for maximum performance. The closest ribs to the engine on the crank pulley, then the closest to the radiator on the power steering pulley, closest to the engine on the alternator pulley, closest to the radiator on the ac pulley and closest to the engine on the tensioner pulley.

hater.. Now I'm kinda lost. I only have the crank pulley and I didn't install the belt closest to the engine. Do you mean to tell me that I have to do every freakin' thing over?!! Should've read that little grocery store receipt-sized instructions.

was joking ,doesnt matter which ribs you use as long as the belts on the same ribs on every pulley. If not it will either shred or throw off the belt
