Well, I just installed my Fastman TB, ASP cramk pulley, and 180 t-stat. Did a hard reset but, honestly, I haven't noticed any "major" difference. I am hopeful that it will gradually improve while the computer learns everything but I'm ready for the worst.

Keep us posted, buddy. I'm heading that way myself! But first, I'd like to add some Gibson Headers.

If you want to notice a big difference, then take it easy for the next 300 miles. These mods need to be learned by the computer. I didn't feel a thing after installing my intake, and i was very disapointed. Then two tanks of gas later I happened to put my foot into it a little more then usual and Surprise! Broke the rear end loose. So let it learn. You might not notice the diff because it gradually gets more powerfull as the PCM learns

It is 3 or four " runs " 20 to 50 miles or so

I'll try to drive it easier but its hard not to stab on the gas. Especially for 300 freakin' miles!! We'll see how it goes.

When I installed my F&B throttle body I noticed an immediate response the first time I started the truck and stepped on it. Maybe the Fastman is smaller than 48mm? Interesting.

Yea, 300 miles is probably excessive. I'm just telling you what I did. I just swaped out the intake, not the TB (That's yet to come) so my gains weren't huge. When I first had it on and reset the PCM I tried to gun it and the engine stumbled and the low end dropped out. Because of that I never attempted to give it much gas in the low end and just kind of took it easy and enjoyed it up top. After a full tank of gas (about 300 miles) I slipped the clutch a little more then normal and to my pleasent surprise, the truck launched. The reason I noticed it was because I wasn't using the part of the power band that was improving with time.

There should be noticeable gains as soon as you
bolt on a fastman or F&B

you may have to drop 1 heat range on the plugs
you are getting a bigger charge into the cyls
and it will run hotter

try some Autolight AP3923 gaped at .040 .045

also have a scan done to be sure all the sensors
are up to snuff

o2
IAT
engine temp

these 3 control air fuel ratio in closed loop

50 miles short term learn
200 plus full learn

Thanks guys but, I have since driven over 300 miles now and my 'check engine' light just came on. The code I got was 0442 "A leak has been detected in the evaporative system." What the heck??!!

Help guys!

0442 continues...

I checked the gas cap but the light is still on. One thing I recently noticed is I hear an annoyingly loud whistle sound every time I step on the gas. Could it be something with the AC or PC valve?? Thanks!

check for a vac leak

the canistor and elect connections drivers side
down by the frame

the gas cap could be bad and will also give that
code.
