No dont get anything above a 50 series i have a 98 dakota 3.9l magnum with a K7n cold airintake and a 50 series flowmaster ur best bet is to get a 40 series flowmaster at first i bought a 40 series flow but i thought i was going to bolt it on and it turns out that the 40 series flow was about 13 inches long and the stock muffler is about 17inches long so i really wasnt thinking i traded it for a 50 series and i couldnt get the old muffler off so i went to a local mufler shop they put my new muffler on for only 30 dollers and the 50 series sounds great with the v6 if u want somthing loud go with the 40 series the 50 series isnt to loud but not quiet but still sounds awsome just go to the flowmaster web site and they have a video clib and sound of what series flow u want

Woody,
I'd have to guess it'd sound near stock. 40 is loud, 50 is a little louder than stock, so I'm figuring 60 or 70 would sound pretty much stock.

Red 98 RC V6 2wd Single in/dual out exhaust (soon to be switched to a flowmaster 40 single in/dual out), Edelbrock 10" round air cleaner w/ K&N air filter, Autolite AP3923s, 180*F Thermostat, Ported V6 throttle body ...and much more to come!
