Hello,
Okay,I know most of these questions have been asked but....I have 95 Dakota Sport Extended Cab 4x4 automatic with a 3.9. I was wanting to put a 5.2 or a 5.9 in it. I was worndering what I need to do this. Including like all the small details. Im hoping to be able to do this this summer. I need to know if itll be the same or easier to get a motor from dakota set up with a v8 or if I can get one from a ram and both the same year of course.

Hopefully you get access to other things on the
V8 vehicle.
I.E. , computer ( ECM ) , motor mounts
and wiring to the injectors
Ram or Dak , pretty well same

you would be better off selling the truck you have and buying one with the same engine you want in it. Why? the tranny behind the 6 is not strong enough for the eight. for what it would cost you do swap both engine and tranny it would be easier to trade the whole truck.
