got a mint 88 le from my neighbor,he bought it new.this is the 2nd motor that it's had in it.He rebuilt the first one once and had this one put in it.It has around 50k on it.It has what sounds like some rod bearings knocking a little bit.Was just curious if some one could point me to a site or explain to me THOROUGHLY how to put main & rod bearings in one.I noticed also the oil pressure just about drops out on it when it's idling,but goes back up when accelerating.This is the dummy kind(oil light)The truck runs fine,doesn't smoke or use any oil..Just knocks alittle bit.My friend who is a mechanic says the sound is definately coming from the bottom end.This is something I would actually like to try myself.
Any help would surely be appreciated :)
