Message:
I have a 98 Dodge Dakota V6 4X2 5 speed. My engine seems to bog when the check engine light comes on, but the light doesn't always stay on. When it is off, the truck runs fine. I had Autozone run a diagnostic and they say it is the Crankshaft position indicator, but I am not convinced of that. Any ideas on what this might be? Thanks.

If the code says Crank Pos Sensor , get it replaced..
Possible you can do your own code check !?
key on,key off , key on , key off , key on
within 5 seconds
check engine light will flash codes

example 3 flashes , space ( no light ) ,3 flashes
= code 33
whatever comes up , explanation can be found here
or other places on net
However , note that the code for the Crank Pos
sensor will come on this way m because the engine
was Not cranked , so it can not receive the
required signal !!
