Have fun if you choose the turbo route... there are no direct-fit applications for our trucks. You'll have to go custom. If you go with nitrous, get an NX kit.

Red 98 RC V6 2wd Single in/dual out exhaust (soon to be switched to a flowmaster 40 single in/dual out), Edelbrock 10" round air cleaner w/ K&N air filter, Autolite AP3923s, 180*F Thermostat, Ported V6 throttle body ...and much more to come!

The problem being... is a small small shot of nitrous going to be effective yet safe for the motor? i dont want to be rebuilding it any time soon even its somewhat high mileage... it IS a 92...

how much for an NX kit with a small bottle and jets?

i dont even know where/how a turbo mounts so some explanation would help BUKU time...

denping on the size, a 50 shot would be safe, as long as its a wet shot. i payed 450 for my nx kit. the turbo mounts to the exhuast manifold.

yea a good kit from NitrousExpress would be great on your 3.9.

a turbo is sort of like a supercharger, in that it compresses air before its pushed into the engine, but a turbo is spun by exhaust gases moving through the manifolds rather than the belt-driven superchargers. installing a turbo would involve building up some custom exhaust manifolds, all the proper tubing, the turbo itself, and trying to get the computer to agree with the boost. it would get pretty expensive when all youre looking for is something simple, like nitrous, which would keep you in the 500-600 dollar range.

let us know what you decide to do. good luck!

I would go with No2 for sure.... i went that route along with a superchips program.... those two mods together really brought this truck back to like at 95K miles. Still runs like new.
