Subject: Solution 94 3.9L?

Message:
Maybe someone here has an idea what's wrong. I have a 94 3.9L carbeurated model that started sputtering one morning with a loss of power. That evening when I got back in it to go home it would idle for awhile then die then it wouln't even start. It has the same gas I drove 200 miles on the day before, I changed the fuel pump and it didn't help, and if I put a little gas in the butterflies it runs like a champ until all the fuel is burnt. Any ideas??

another dumazz just rang in! ya bone head FI Daks don't have fuel filters!
Dan unless the engine was replaced with another then the original you have a multi point FI system with a throttle body.
before I can really answer your Q Dan, I need to know what codes are showing, with trouble this bad there has to be at least one.

Possible wiring problem !
Check harness between fuse box and firewall
drivers side , should see a " splice "
with about three wires , best to redo this
" splice " , get good connectors or SOLDER
it up..
