I know there has been some controversy on this subject. Does running tubing straight from the front of the truck into the air box create any issues? I read some guys saying about creating manifold pressure, and some say about the front of the truck actually not being a good area to draw in air cause of negative vacuum from aerodynamics of truck. I tried it and the truck started pinging when i pull out. anyone know statistics on this?

ran mine threw the original airbox then used non corragated tube from box to air hat,, no trouble and more power.
