I've made this plug before...and this should be my last time. I need money so I'm gonna try this.
I have a red Leer cap that came off my 98 dakota, reg. cab for sale. I was hoping to get $500 off it (per grandpa's advice), but I'll just say this much. I'll let it go for much cheaper. All offers will be considered...
I'm located in Piqua, Ohio so that's where it'd have to be picked up. I'm sure Dan, would LOVE a cap for his DaffyDak;) lol

Took me a lot longer than expected... found the camera, but had to charge the batteries and then find disks for it. I soooo need a new camera.
Here's the pics of the cap I'm selling...if you're interested in it, make an offer. I need quick cash and would love to get it out from under my deck. The only damage to it is there's a few nicks in the paint where if you look up close you can see where touch up paint was used and also one of the latches is quite rusty. If it can't be repaired, I'm sure it could be replaced for probably 10 bucks or so. I have a pic of the latch so you'll see what I mean. Seriously though... I'll let this sucker go for quite cheap. Only catch is you gotta be able to come pick it up...Piqua, OH. I'll have to make sure I have all my clamps for it, but they'll all be included if I can find em. I think I know where I put em... anyway, here's the pics:
Oh yeah...forgot to mention the side windows open up and have screen on them, plus there is a sliding window on the front. Any questions, feel free to ask.

Update: I found the clamps so they'll be included. One appears to be warped a bit (circled in red) but I think as long as you tighten it down, it'd be fine although I'd recommend using it as one of the middle clamps. There's a total of 6 of em...I just have one disassembled so you can see what all is included in each clamp.

Hi Josh, I don't mean to intrude on your thread, but I too have a red cap for sale.
I'm in Peterborough, Ontario so I don't think there's any conflict.
I've got a RDL 'new wedge' type cap (hi back) with front and side sliding windows. It's in great shape and is still on my 2001 Club Cab.
I'm looking for about $500 Can.
Any takers would have to pick it up.

a cap would be kinda nice, but i like my tonneau. even though its about due for replacement, its a royal pain in the arse to use it in the winter. If I unsnap it I have to use hot water to get it to snap up again.... how heavy is the cap? could your dak still spin the tires with it on (HEY thats important to me LOL) I dont know how a cap would look with euro tails either
although I dont have that kind of money right now either..... stupid doctor bills.......

Dan, couldn't find the pic of it on my truck anywhere... I'll keep looking though. Anyway, I did find this picture which is somewhat helpful. It's on a quadcab and doesn't look nearly as good. lol
BUT...it does have euro tails, so you can see what it looks like with those.

Anyone interested? The details are all above. All offers will be strongly considered. I am letting this nice cap (as shown in the pics above) go for quite cheap I need money to buy me a Gold Pass to King's Island before May 23rd, lol. I feel your pain. I've been trying to sell my cap for almost a year now. $1400 new and only $500 now.
I guess there's not much of a market for used caps. Gotta go to e-bay I suppose.

Yeah Jer, that's what I was thinking as well...Ebay may be the only option. What I'm wondering is how do those businesses that just specifically sell caps stay in business when we have so much trouble selling even one?! lol
