HELP!

Before I rip my dash apart for the second time, I was wondering if someone could help me figure out if this is a reprogramming thing or a wiring thing.

I just reinstalled my dashboard on my 97 Dakota 2wd 5spd after it sat with the battery disconnected for about 2 weeks. I had to replace the heater core and the evaporator core. What a pain! As I put it all back together, I reattached all the connectors. Or at least I think I did. I reattached the battery and started it up. It runs, but the guages don't work [they light up but are unresponsive to rpm/gas level, etc], the headlights don't work [but the fog lights do] and the interior climate control fan doesn't work.

The three grounds that attach to the dash are all firmly tightened. I can't find ANY wiring harness plugs that aren't plugged in. The only 'socket' I can find that I am unsure about whether there was something in it or not is at the top of the big white wiring connector that is held on by a 10mm bolt above the drivers left foot. The two side ones are plugged in, but there is a socket above the big one that isn't filled. I don't remember removing anything from there and I can't find any wiring plugs loose, but it is empty. My instinct is that this spot is for the automatic versions.

I admit there could be a set of wires not plugged in behind the dash, but I couldn't see any when I put it back together.

This leads me to another thought. If all of the wires are plugged in properly [a big IF, but I think they are], could the fact that the truck sat for about 2 weeks with the battery disconnected [getting parts and time to install them has been hard for me] cause the computer to need to be set/calibrated by the Dodge dealer? I hope not, but would rather that be the case than me frying anything. Or do I just need to let it run/idle for 10 minutes [or so] to allow the computer to calibrate itself?

So, does anyone know if this is a computer recalibration/setting issue after having no current for 2 weeks? Or is there a sneaky wiring harness/plug that I missed when I reinstalled everything? It sits with the battery disconnected until I figure this out so that I don't fry anything. [I hope!]

Thanks!

Never mind. It was the main junction box being set incorrectly. I just removed it and reinstalled the big white plug and the problem was gone.
