Subject: MSD Box or Not...

I have the complete MSD setup ready to install. Been hearing different things from people on whether or not I should install the box or just the hotter coil. My engine mods are a cold air intake, V8 TB, and flowmaster exhaust. I am not going to do anything else, so I was wondering if I would be better off to install the ignition box or get rid of it. Also if I get rid of it should I even upgrade th coil. I have the MSD super conductor wires so I could run a hotter coil, but woiuld it benefit me.

some people are saying that they gained sum hp off the msd box. if u were to sell it u would get no where even close to what u payed for it, unless you would be returning it. belive me i went down the same path u are now. i say just install it all. the only reason i kept mine was because i just bought a nx kit and i want the extra spark

Thanks for the reply. I'm probably going to return it, and put the money towards something else. I appreciate the reply.

I think my mods are done for the motor. It has 120,000 miles on it, and I don't want to dump a lot of money into it if its life might be running out. This allows me to justify to my wife splurging on bigger and better things if and when the motor does go. This truck is always going to be with me since it was my first. When this motor goes, the truck will undergo something, probably pretty extensive, but I need to start saving. I'll probably end up putting the box on, because I can take it off when the mottor goes. I'm indecisive, prev. post to now I have already changed my mind, anyways, thanks for the input guys.
