Okay well, I want to setup a system where I use the alarm system(non-factory) to start the car as well as operate door locks and what not. That simple enough but... I want to at this same time get rid of my keys. Now I am thinking that I could get a little magnet and use it like a key I put it over some switch and the car runs until I pull it away. To keep the car running and allow it to start with the alarm system and to have this operate how I want maybe this would work. Without the little magnet the fuel injectors(maybe some other device not sure which) CAN only recieves whatever amount of power is needed for idle plus a little. With the magnet it's unrestricted. That way when I pull the magnet away the car will only operate at 800rpms or something like that and if you try to accelerate it won't increase much. Now this isn't perfect(You still could drive away at 800rpms but slowly) but it's an idea. Does anyone else have a system like this in operation or designed? No key to turn, I just hop in the car put my alarm remote(put's magnet in here or something) on spot X and drive.

I got a Viper alarm on my dak.
It has a remote start on it- just push 2 buttons and the truck starts after a few seconds.Push again and it stops. You can push the gas without the key in, but if you hit the brake w/o the key in it stops. Mine runs for 12 min then turns off. Also had power locks installed. I love it, great for those cold mornings or hot days- just leave on heat or air... Also has panic,,fun.

well hope this helps
