Just hit 1.68 here in Monticello, Arkansas. What ever happened to the days when if it got over 1.00 a gallon it was highway robbery? Here is an intresting tidbit, I read that it takes about 5 years to refine crude oil down to gasoline grade, so all that bunk about OPEC cutting production won't even effect us until 2009. And anyhow, we might as well own one of the most oil rich couintries in the world, why not just charge the Iraqi's some intrest on that war debt and start to collect....

it's just about $1.50 to $1.70 for regular here in houston. (my family works for an oil company so no complaints about price at the pumps)

That's absolute nonsense. Typical refinery production cycle is 60 to 90 days.

Haven't you heard? We didn't invade Iraq to steal their oil (that would be an imperialist action), it was for WMD... no wait, it was to fight Al Qaeda... no, I mean't to say liberate the Iraqi people.......

That's all I can say. I'm crying in my cereal.
I read Ford is going to offer Toyota's Hybrid System in the Escape later this year. What is Dodge going to do to counter this. What will the Escape get as mpg ... maybe 40 - 45 mpg? The Toyota Prius gets 55 miles per gallon in city-highway driving.
