OK all i wanna knwo is can i take off the air/smog pump on my 1990 3.9 pre mag dakota with out haveing to do anytihng else to the truck besides unbolting it, and removing the belt?

Thats all I did, remove the pump, replace the bolts. I think I put brackets back in place or something so that the bolts would fit right. I also have a 1990 3.9
