I have a 87 Dakota 4x4 3.9 litre it falls on it ass every time you hit the gas it does not stall but its like driving a geo metro. I am thinking it is the fuel pump a after market mounted on the fender the size of a match box.

ya mine doesnt fall on its a$$ it achually gets up and goes when i romp on it i just dont understand the stalling problem i have urs is carburated right i know my 87 is so would it have a fuel pump or since its carbed it just uses the vacum of the motor to gain fuel but im not someone that would know its just a guess
