Subject: Thinking of getting my heads ported...

I was wondering how much this would cost me and how much of a gain i could get?? I'm really clueless about this

I was also thinking about getting my engine rebuilt with pistons from Hughes Engines and I was also wondering if that would get me any power (from restored compression).

TIA for any help

You can get the heads done by KRC or the fastman
is also doing them now unless you have a local
shop that will do them

around $300 plus shipping

The gains would be there with a cam and moded
intake manifold, bigger TB

Higher compresion pistons will also help

Why would you port the heads and remain stock
would not make a lot of sense very small gains
on the mid and top end

Larry, I know you have modded the living day lights and of your truck. Is it possible to set the v6 heads up to run the same valves and springs and similar cam profile to equal the 360 used in the Dakota RT's? I am thinking of doing a similar thing. I have to be concerned about exhaust emissions here in Washington. Any thoughts, your MR. MASTER DAK in my book.
