Just installed a 14" electric fan yesterday and it seems to be running hotter i didnt reinstall the old fans cowl. And it also seems it almost dies every now and then at a red light. Is the fan to small or do I need to reinstall the old fans cowl. And as far as it spitting at the red light could the timing be off from removing the old fan due to me having to hold down the clutch pully and the belt moving while the pullys didnt???? Any help would be great.

At a stop with my electric fan..the idle drops a bit when the fans kick on..Amp load draw..
As far as running hot..With the old fan it was drawing air all the time..with electric it will only come on when the thermo switch tells it to..
Adjust the temp switch down a bit..

I wish I could get the thermo switch to work on my black magic
150. I've even gotten a replacement thermostat from flex a lite
and it still doesn't work. Well at least my truck doesn't overheat
anyway.

When you all replace that big clutch fan with the electric, do they come with the required parts to make then switch on when the AC compressor comes on? It seems if that did not happen, then the AC wold not work well. I guess you could always use a manual switch and turn it on when you turn on the AC.

yes they come with an A/C switch on the BM 150

Are you sure you have it pulling air in from the
grill and not pulling hot air off the motor and
forcing it out throw the rad

It shold not run hotter

Get the Flexo Lite thermo that goes in the upper
rad hose its the best way reading direct coolent
temp to activate the fan relay

I have tried all the others and this one works
the best $34 summitracing.com
