Why did i buy a dakota..I had an 84 ranger for 7 years and put it through hell and back and it never let me down. I thought it would be a nice change so i bought an 89 Dak for the 3.9 lts. The damn thing didn`t last one day in the mud. I know scwat about rebuilding an engine ,but, should I take the 3.9 engine apart to see whats wrong or would I just be wasting my time cause I dont know nothing. Or drop in a bigger engine that would bolt up to the 5-speed...
