Is there a really big difference in gas milage between the 4.7v8 and the 3.9 v6? also can you still tow a good sized load with a V6 like you can with a V8? any help would be greatly appreciated, thnx.

I don't think the gas mileage is all that different... if you need something to frequently haul heavy loads, go for the V8. If you don't plan on hauling/towing much and want to save a bit of cash, get the V6.

93 Dakota, extended cab, 4x4, auto, 3.9 V6, and I tow my 800+ Seadoo around with it. I get about 17-18 on the highway, whether I'm towing or not.
