Subject: Loud wind noise from doors

Message:
I have a 2003 V6 slt dodge dakota, whenever i get up to the speed of 45 or more i hear a loud wind noise comming from the drivers side door in the upper left hand corner. It is not the window and i had the dealer replace the weather stripping on the door and this did not fix the problem. Now the manager of maintenance says it is normal. I can not believe that is normal for a new truck or for a dodge. Does anyone else have this wind noise screaming into their ear as you drive? Anyone have any idea what might be causing it? Any TSB on it? Thanks for the info and help

Do you have the wind deflectors(vent shades)-whatever kind- installed? If so they do create a lot of wind noise. I first thought that it was caused by the weather stripping but it was not.

I get a loud wind noise from the engine, but thats because I took off that little rubber flap in front of the airbox. and then I took off that little plastic elbow, now when I hit past 3k rpms, it makes a hummin sound. that might be it, if you did what I did.

I get the same loud wind noise from my dakota. I have a '96 and it happens everytime I go 70+ or in high wind days. It's very annoying and something I just deal with.

This happens to me every winter. When the temp drops, the seals shrink and become less flexible. As I turn the fan speed up and down the noise increases and decreases.
