How much would it be to buy a new one and how hard is it to change it out?
I know it sits behind the dash on the passenger side. Do I have to take the whole dash out or can I just remove the glove box and to it that way? Any ideas? I don't want to pay the 300 some odd dollars to do it if I can do it myself.

rumor has it that it's a dash removal to get to the dumb thing - or maybe you can cut a hole in the firewall and get to it that way.
That may be easier than tearing out the whole friggin dash!

Just replaced heater core on 97, 6.5 hours, need to remove entire dash. Core cost $29.
