I know a lot of you guys don't like the splitfire plugs, but for a long time my truck wouldn't start, and so yesterday I messed around with the throttle body, got it so that it wouldn't flood anymore, but it still wouldnt start, I put in the splitfires, and BAM it started quicker than s***. lol. It was actually just that the old plugs were way carboned up and even if i ran em under the wire brush they were f***ed, but I'm real pleased with the splitfires, because they made the tuck run ALOT smoother than it did even before it started flooding out and the old plugs were still good. It's got just about 180,000 miles on it, and it's never ran this smooth before, and it even has more of a kick to it.

Just thought I should share my thoughts on the splitfires.

IMO, people with a lot of miles on their cars(over 100K) have better luck with splitfires.

If you do a search on splitfire plugs you should find alot of information available. You say you messed with the throttlebody till it quit flooding. The only thing the throttlebody does is control the amount of air coming into the engine. The TPS and MAP sensors send signals to the computer and it determines how much fuel goes into the engine by the injectors. Unless you Throttlebody injection, in that case it's much like a carburator. If your running that rich it sound to me like you may have another problem, such as an O2 sensor thats going bad.

What year is your truck and how many miles on it?
You might want to read Diane's 88 post, she was having a problem that turned out to be a bad O2 sensor.
