I am sorry to bother you agian, but when you say Front do you mean if I am standing in front of the hood looking into the engine the farthest away from me, in the back toward the windshield belong the # 1 an # 2? Or should I flip them around and look at it like the five and six go in the back by the windshield. Thanks for your information. I am trying to do this alone and I still can't get it started.

Hmm I thought you wanted the firing order not just the numbers
that correspond to which cylinder. Maybe I read it wrong.
Anyway, the easy way to remember this is look at your
distributor cap while standing on the driver's side of the vehicle.
Start at number 1, which is labelled on the cap, and go
clockwise 1,6,5,4,3,2

drivers side front to back 1,3,5
pass side front to back 2,4,6
most caps have the #1 mark on them and just as
you clock or watch hands move 1,6,5,4,3,2 >
or put the vibration damper on 0 TDC the rotor
should point towards the pass side that is where
the #1 should be if pointing in other direction
turn over again to 0
hold 1 finger where the rotor is pointing set cap
on #1 plug wire goes there
LOL that should do ya
