Brass conducts electricity better and if you live near water or in a high humidity area, brass doesn't corrode as quickly as aluminum. Lastly, brass costs a little more.

I was talking to my dad about that but he said unless your coil is not producing enough volts then get the brass cap and rotor but if it is it will do the exact same with stock as long as its in good working condition and the whole point of the brass cap and rotor is no more than performance but longevity.
