Go with a fastman or F&B throttle body they are
a nice upgrade

Install time maybe 20 min

You will see some gains from headers with a bigger
throttle body.

They are just a bolt in manifold replacement easy
unless you break studes removing the cast iron
units, bolts right to stock exh.

gen 1 the headers really dont do much! why do u think people save that for the last go fast mod? because 350 is way to much to spend if ur only goin to gain like 3 hp if ur lucky

Do the S-Bolt mod first.
It will toss you back in your seat when you hit the gas.

http://www.dakota-durango.com/performancetips.html - Scroll down to Performance: Install an S-Bolt. It says it's good for 5hp, but I find that hard to believe (More like 30! lmao... j/k).

The F&B comes with an S bolt and all stainless
screws for sensors and mounting and is well worth
the money. And a new gasket

There are low end gains with the F&B and the
fastman unlike the V8 which remains the same and
on some trucks experience a slight loss on low end

The gains from these 2 throttle bodies is
noticeable as soon as you drive the truck unlike
the V8 bodies

Go with a carsound cat $89 with free ups ground
shipping from truckperformance.com

The V6 will experience some low end loss with no
cat and will also throw an EGR code do to not
enough back pressure the cat with a flowmaster or
dynomax create just enough to flow back through
EGR on the 92 to 95 trucks.

No cat on 96 and up will through codes from the
downstream o2 and effect air fuel ratio do to
the upstream o2 running abnormal temps

Even on my stroked and ported motor it did the
same thing after install of the cat I experienced
no performance loss but no more mil light

My previous dyno was 247hp changing from a ASE
chip computer with a Apexi fuel controller to the
mopar performance comp, with and a wide band o2
trying to adjust the fuel we could not pull any
more power no matter what we did we also changed
from a fastman to an F&B and adding the cat my
next dyno produced 267 RWHP

48 F&B
Mopar performance comp
Carsound high flow cat

20 RWHP what did what I am not sure but the
combination of the 3 I picked up 20 RWHP

Use a cat, with no cat throwing codes your comp
will never acheave a complete learn and your
performance will never peak out as high as it
should

Waiting on some pistons going 10.5 to 1 and going
to try a Hughes Engines Stage 1 manifold run 2
dynos 1 with a 48mm F&B and 1 with a 50mm F&B

All dyno runs are done after a 200 mile learn if
we get any codes that through it into limp we
always solve that prob and another 200 miles
before a run never run without a perfect 200 mile
learn your numbers will be low

There are lots of Elect fans out there just be
sure its rated around 2000 to 2400 cfm you can
also find fans you can mount right in the
existing shroud for a very clean installation
