Im looking to upgrade the tires on my 03 to something with a slightly more agressive off road tread...the BF Goodrich All Terrains particularly caught my eye. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried them on a dakota and what they thought of them...Im looking for something that is good in snow and mud...also must have good tread wear since i do a considerable amount of highway driving...I have seen these tires retail for about $150-175...was wondering if they are worth the money...I checked the tirerack.com and they seemed to like them...would appreciate any input...by the way, my stock Goodyears are 265/70 r-16's....Thanks

I have The all-terrains on my truck.. I disagree with bemoore about they are about the same. You don't get the "offroad" look with the land terrains. I just put 31x10.5x15 BF Goodrich All-Terrains on my DAK. Here are some photos if you want to see what they look like...I love them.

If you have a Sam's Club near by, that is the BEST place to get tires..they have tremendous prices. I got my 31x10.5x15's on for $498 walking out the door.

if you want the cheaper version of a good tire go with my land terrains if you want the original real thing with a better internal construction and a stronger sidewall go with the BFG'S. unfortunately walmart's preditary pricing to get BFG'S in the store cheap forced BFG to cut corners in production quality so BGF changed the name of the tire so their other dealers would not have to deal with warrenty problems the lousy thing is full of.

ther is no proplem with the land terrains i know many custemers and a few friends that said they found no diffrence in the performence and at wal mart you get free rotate and balance and flat repar for as long as you have the tire if the tire cant be fixed its prorated if you dont get that plan on them you only save 51 cent per tire

Ive had these tires caked up with red clay, mud and they still pulled me to freedom! I love them, they will really enhance the look of your truck to! You can get them from Wal-Mart, sometimes they carry them in stock, sometimes they dont, you can get them ordered though. I know cuz i work at one.....later

allright. there are many kinds of bfg tires to choose from, BUT if it does no have a T/a in the title of the tire it is not made by bfg. most likely they are made by kelly springfield tire company, -look into it. you will notice that all of the bfg tire advertisements in different magizines all mention bfg t/a tires. So there is a huge difference between the land and the all terrain tires. the biggest of all is the 3 ply sidewall and rim guard built into the tires.
