Possibly a temp sensor, But you don't want to throw
money at it without knowing for sure. How did you
check for codes?

i hooked it up to a scanner. my step dad ownes a mechanic shop but is at a loss as to what could be the issue. It is throwing ZERO codes, and the CEL dosent come on. His answer is to drive it till it gets worse or throws the CEL light

Well for what it's worth you don't need a scanner
next time. It's either key on/key off 3 times or the
trip meter button.

Have your battery load-tested. It's probably on its way out.

Brad a battery test and a load test are 2 different
things. If it was not load tested the battery could
have a dead cell and never show up otherwise.

OK Brad the only other thing I can think of is dist.
bushings. Take the cap off, Try moving rotor side to
side & then check for rotational play. Worn bushing
would not trip a code and cause problems untill
motor is at FOT.

So i checked the coolant sensor and it fell apart in my hands before I could even take it out! Now runs fine when cold when warm it will now hesitate under load. Do you think this could be the catalytic converter cause by the coolant sensor loading the cylander up with fuel and it clogging the convertor? Please help!
