When I start my truck in the morning and I drive it with the heat on it seems like there is a strong smell of coolant coming through the vents. I've checked for leaks and I've checked the level. Everything seems fine but I can't seem to figure out what it is that would be causing it. Anyone here have any ideas.

Thanks in advance guys.

You need a new heater core. There is a small leak that is being evaporated before it has a chance to drip. The longer you wait, the faster it will leak. The problem is that the window will usually fog-up.

Yeah my windows do fog up really bad. How much is it for the heater core and how hard is it to fix?

What year is the truck in question?

My Dad has a 92 and he never did finish the job last summer because he lost he patience when it was 95 and humid out. Now he's hate'n life cause he has no heat, and man is it cold out!
