Just 1 question, When you increase the amount of air your engine pumps via headers, intake, cat-back exhaust, s/c, ect.,do you also need to increase fuel flow by maybe adding a high flow fuel pump and filter, and/or higher flow injectors? If so where do I get these parts?

with those mods the computer will adjust it accordingly...now if you get like a high po cam or supercharger you will need larger pump and injectors

Where could I find these parts? I plan on putting both a high lift cam and a S/C on my truck. Right now I've got a home brew 3" stainless intake with K&N, JBA headers, Jet stage II, and dual 2 1/4" flowmaster aluminized exhaust. Oh yeah, it's a '98 3.9 m/t

truckperformance.com sells both...the pump is a holley and is pretty cheap ($) for a fuel pump.....but go for the ford motorsports fuel injectors...a lot cheaper than truckperformance.com....lesley can tell you where to get them.

hope this helps

MagnumKota: The standard Holley pump isn't quite right for the system we have. An inline 180-200LPH pump is what's normally used with supercharger systems...along with an FMU to increase pressure under boost. Depending on the year/model of your truck, the Mopar PCM can adjust up to 20% on the duty cycle for the injectors (factory PCM is only about 10-15%). The best way to find out if you need more fuel is with an A/F meter and a dyno.

IntenseDak39: Uhhhh...please tell me you've got a blow-down tube on that setup. ;)

In case the nitrous pressure is too high or the disc on the valve blows...the nitrous is vented outside the cab - BIG safety issue. Any reputable NHRA sanctioned track that pays attention to the actual rules will not allow the bottle in the cab without a blowdown tube.

that's what i thought...but if it's gonna get vented shouldn't i put it to use in the cab? ;)

i saw a website where nx bottle blew up in the trunk of someone's car...the guy was totally against nx for it because they have their million dollar warranty (or whatever it is) and wouldn't fix it.....but what the guy forgot to stress was that he replaced the disc with an aftermarket one an that's where the bottle blew! sent his trunk lid through the garage door!

That person also has the bottle warmer wired to constant power, left it ON in the garage in the summer. (Had it coming on that one!)

You want to vent OUTSIDE the cab. The nitrous and sulfur-dioxide will make you "woozy" and rather sick to your stomach. (Not good when on the track.) I had my bottle behind the passenger seat (Club Cab) with the blowdown going through the floor of the cab with a rubber grommet around the tube.
