Message: If you have a cat, kill it. I hate cats. But if you are refering to catalytic converters Summit can sell you one with a three inch inlet and outlet. Have you don any other mods to the vehicle? If you haven't, don't waste your time on your exhaust system until you change some things under the hood. A 180-degree T-stat, relocated AIT sensor, Modified throttle position sensor, spark plug change/indexing/modifying, better ignition, throttle body, cold air intake w/K&N Filter, are just a few things that can be done to gain a noticeable performance improvement. Until then, don't waste your time and money on an exhaust system. You'll still need to consider things like camshaft, heads, compression, intake manifold, etc. when considering exhaust. Go to www.hughesengines.com for more clues.

Message: I have a 99 automatic club cab. I have already done.....
AIT Relocate, cold air intake with K&N filter, 180 thermostat, V8 throttlebody, sparkplugs, and the TPS sensor.....
The exhaust is what I want to do next. I am planning on getting the Dynomax muffler with a Y and tips so it has the dual exhaust look. I was just wondering if I should go ahead and upgrade the catalytic converter too. I still have the stock cat on there. Would it make any difference or would that be a waist of time and money? Thanks

The Catco's give off a bad rotton egg smell.
A highflow cat will help some but your not going
to gain a ton of HP and may not even notice the
diff.
Little better mileage, if you have the intake side
done you will gain more from a freer flowing exh
system.

Message: I think he meant IAT or Intake Air Temp sensor. It is normally in the intake manifold and the mod is to move it to the actual intake prior to the throttle body.
The SuperChips programmer is a nice setup for the newer Daks. If you have the money it's worth it.
