Subject: bogging during idle

hey...i got a 98 3.9 sport...it's an auto and most of the time when it's runnin cold when i shift from drive to park or neutral, it bogs down to like...500 or less rpm's..it died on me last week parkin it in the garage and i waznt too concerned about it until then...does anyone else have this behavior from their truck?

yeah its died on me too a couple times, I have
a 99 but still same thing. How many miles are
on yours? hmmmm, and i know we arent the
only ones with this problem. I think it has to
do with the crappy battery dodge gives us,
because my lights dim real bad when the
rpms drop when going into or going outof
park. I just hope its nothing major.

im just about 2 turn over 36000...it might be the battery...im gonna grab some autolite 3923's and some performance plug wires once my free pay check comes around...the other one i cover the payment with...maybe it's just my spark's are old...my dad owned my truck before me and he doesnt take care of cars at all...im surprised the spark plugs arent welded to the engine block by now...

Yeah i tried new plugs and wires and cap and
rotor...the works. All im left with is the battery
option. I used a spark tester everything, i
guess i need to break down and by myself a
good ole optima yellow top!

ill never get rid of my truck man...i love it...ive heard the 3.9's are pretty reliable too so im gonna have it for a while...i think ill try the battery thing too...if that doesnt work...ill just ignore it...im gonna hafta get somebody to take those old spark plugs out though cause i waz tryin to take them out to clean them the other day and it took me 5 minutes just to get one out...
