Forget a tb... drop an inline 4 cylinder in it. Or better yet, get a V4. =P
Muffler with the 3923's... use something that's 8" inch coffee can in, 8" coffee can out. Don't forget to break the metal off the bottom of the sparkplugs...gaps are bad.
Installing rollerrockers...hmmm... pull apart your engine to the best of your ability. Find the pieces that look similar to the pieces in your roller rocker kit. Switch them and then stick the leftovers in a box. Sell the leftovers on Ebay... if the truck runs funny, it's not because you had leftover parts. It's just the computer re-learning stuff.
You probably have a check engine light... you should see it at all times when you're driving. It'll say Check Engine. If it turns off, something is wrong and you should pull over immediately and post back here asking us what the problem could possibly be.
