Has anyone done donuts on dry ground in their dakota?I was just wondering if anyone eles has tryed this and hoe well did it go.If you have please list your year and mods.

Mine is a 99 auto cc 3.9l limited slip
It did better then i thought it would for only exhaust done. (Y-pipes no mufflers)
Couldnt see anything from all the smoke, and there was a little bit of green smoke going too.

It wasnt to bad for being 20 degrees out side.

Only by accident, and not really burnouts, just 3-4 feet or really strong tire spin. I just traded a 4 cylinder 118 horsepower, 146 lb-ft torque Ranger foor this truck. It's literally twice the engine in every way, so for the first couple weeks Id forget what I was driving and apply the same amount of gas to get around in traffic as I did on my Ranger. Sometimes that made for some border line burnouts. Trying to cut down on it now though. ID like these Goodyears to last at least long enough for me to save enough for a decent wheel and tire package, rather than going bald in going bald in 2 years and me only being able to afford the same average quality tire.

04 Quad 4x4, 4.7, 5speed auto.

i've done my share of dohnuts, turn out real nice. I prefer to do them in empty parking lots when absolutly no one is around so there is a lot of room to spin.

Well my high school parking lot just opened up the other day. Brand new pavement and everything...

The laid all the asphalt and painted all the lines during the school day and opened it up when they left at about 5PM, leving it ready for the big opening day the next morning.

Well I'm the sports editor for my school newspaper, and I'm at school until 10-11 some nights before deadline, as I was on Tuesday night. Naturally, I decided to test the rumor that it's easier to spin tires on new pavement. So in response to your question, I was surprised at how well I was able to do. The back end swung out better than I really thought it would have.

The next day the evidence was greeting everyone upon arrival to their new parking lot. My 3.9 was so proud.

Me in my 2WD 3.9L 5-speed and my friend in his 4WD blazer were doing dounuts and messing around in the ski parking lot tonight...it snowed about 6" this morning and the parking lot never gets plowed...

I wish i had 4WD tho...on the way home he was taking some shortcuts through some fields lol...i know I own a dodge but still didnt want to risk getting stuck in the middle of a field at night.

The last time I did donuts in a parking lot it cost $1500 for bodywork, and $100 for a new post that WAS attached to a Do Not Enter sign until I knocked it across the road...and the donuts weren't intentional. I got tranny probs and sometimes it won't downshift when it's sposed to. It downshifted at the perfect time while I was turning out of the underclassmen parking lot onto the road between that lot and the senior lot. Kinda sucked... It didn't help that I panicked and didn't realize I still had my foot on the gas (hence the reason why I spun clear around). I still feel like a complete idiot for that one.

I had an 89 integra that would roast em good. I left my share of black marks in various parking lots and stop lights. Best I did was burn through 2nd on a sunny day. In my 97 dak not had a chance to burn em yet. I am replacing my crack exaust manifold with headers very soon so I will know after that how they burn.

Yeah, i didnt think mine would do it as well as it did, but when it gets warm outside again ill be geting pics of it doing burnouts and donuts.Right before i put new tires on it.I need to keep some tread left for the snow if we ever get any.

I also have a 98 civic 5spd that will burn the tires pretty good. But no donuts in it.I thought i was going to stop driving the dakota after geting the civic but that didnt happen.I drive the truck more then i wanted to when i had it lol...

All i gotta say id RWD is sooooo much better then FWD.So the civic well be sold or traded in when i get it payed off more.
But if you guys want to check out the dakota pics and see what my motor looked like after mudding then heres the link....Later

Ive got a stock 87 2wd dakota w/ a 3.9L 2bbl carb and a A904 automatic. Has 2.71 gears and an open rear end w/ a K&N air filter and no muffler and gutted rear cat (didnt know there was one under the passanger side exhuast manifold till i took off the Y-pipe to see what it would sound like, it idled like a harley but sounded like an old tractor w/ strait pipes when you gave it gas). I put 30x11.5r15 TSL/SX all the way around(at 50 on the speedo im doin about 58ish and at 83 im doin 98ish and i pleed the 5th on how i know ) tires on it and you would be amazed. When i just floor it off the start the spin barely and when i can turn and floor my truck(w/ 168,000 miles) in 1st and leave a 25feetish black strip and see a lil bit of smoke going from the rear(swampers bark very low when they are about to gain traction and they really really suck for wet pavment starts (did a 42ft 3inch burn out from a stand still)and i sometimes pull on the side of a 2 lane country road and drop it in 1st and floor it so whip it around across the pavement but i aint tried doin doughnuts yet. All my friends love to go 2 wheelin in my truck b/c it will do some really nice doughnuts and throw some mean roostertails

Jus tthe other day her ein new jersey we got a few inches of snow, so mos tof the roads were deserted and absolutly no cops. SO, me and my friend took a little joy-ride around town doing burnouts in the snow all over the place and found a small ct with no cars in it so i decided to do a few donuts it turns out i did 10 donuts nonstop and when i noticed the people came out of their houses i break and drove right out of the ct and back to my neigborhood where i continued to have some snowy fun in my 1993 DAK.
very light dak with k$n cold air 3" exhuast system lowered 17's with race tires and some mid range engine work ( great truck for a 14 year old, huh)

If a dry burnout is not a problem I don't think a donut would be that hard either for my 3.9. Darn, I need to go try it. I've gotton a good swing out from sharp turns so does 1/2 donut count.
