Bill thanks for the link and you help, but I have a few more questions. Since my truck is basically a stock 3.9 in my 93 Dakota Reg Cab, the only mods I have are K&N Drop In, with a Tornado Fuel Savor inside, Flowmaster 40 Series Exhaust. I am having a ASP Pulley Set put on. Engine is totally stock otherwise. I was wondering which of your cams would work best in my truck KRC 200 V-6, KRC 200 V-6B . I am not exactly going to drag race it, but want a good HP and TQ gain throughout the powerline, I would like to gain about 25-30 HP if possible. I want something safe and not going to risk durability. I know that engine is going to need more mods to push me back in the seat but I would like more power. Straightline fast. Fuel Economy, well would like to keep it about the same. How can I order one? Hey thanks for you help.

The KRC 200 would work nicely. I'd swap out your drop in filter for a 14x3 filter setup. If you can add a throttle body to that setup you would really complete it. I think you'll be very happy. Your exhaust side is in good shape. You've got the good exhaust manifolds. 92-93 are bigger than later and flow real well.

How much of a horsepower gain would I get? Would I loose fuel mileage? Any other things I need to know? Thanks.

ive got a 87' w/ a 3.9L v6 and a A904 trans. Is there any way to get a good amout of horsepower out of my truck w/o diving into the block and rebuilding it w/ really expensive parts? its got 168k pamper miles but for the last 1,500 ive gave it hell and then some. Its got a 7 1/4 open diff rear w/ a 2.71 gear. Im more into the off road scene but yall drag racing boys know alot about gettin cheap horse power. I rebuilt the carb at 167k felt some power increase. I gutted the cat new the muffler but not the one right off the passanger side exhuast manifold. Ive been thinkin about buying some edelbrock headers and running 2" or 2 1/4" true duals w/ no cats and most likely no mufflers. I toyed w/ it this week and took the stock Y-pipe off and ran strait headers it deff. freed up some but i want sound comming from the rear no the hood. I put a K&N stock style filter in it about 750miles ago that gave a lil bit on top end. But im thinking about puttin in a trans go shift kit and finding a 9 1/4 w/ 3.55-4.11 gears w/ a limited slip. but i just need to know some cheap reliable tricks to get the v6 in the wind

I wouldn't go true duals, you'll kill your low end. A good 2.5" or 3" single would work well. Edelbrock headers are a good choice. Gears DEFINITELY. You would do fine with an 8 1/4. I'd go for 3.92 to 4.11 gears. If you're thinking of a shift kid and your tranny has that many miles on it, I'd be inclined to pull the tranny and do a rebuild.
