Would someone please tell me how to do the IAT mod on my 93 dak. Looking to pick up a few horses to beat a 97 ranger 4.0. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The directions are on www.speedtweaks.ca
Very easy to do. The sensor is on the passenger side of the intake manifold(2wires)
unscrew it and drill a new hole for it in your airintake tube (I did mine in the metal just past where the plastic tubing connects to the airhat) I didn't have to extend the wires but some people did. Make sure you get the pipe plug for the hole left in the intake manifold.
I doubt this mod is gonna help you win a race that you couldn't win before though....

Bud - here's how I did my 98 3.9L
DISCONNECT THE BATTERY 1st (neg cable)
I removed the air hat, drilled a hole in it at an angle near the rubber boot (make sure it's same size as the sensor threads). The angle was so it would clear the throttle linkage. Then I took the IAT out of the manifold, plugged that hole with a 1/4 inch NPT fitting (use thread tape)
screwed the sensor into the air hat and put some silicone to help seal it up (careful! none on the sensor!)
If ya locate it here, the wires will reach.
then I turned the key to the start position, held it there for about 20-30sec, and turned it back off.
RE-CONNECT the neg cable, start the truck WITHOUT hitting the gas -
let it idle for a few minutes, and shut it back off.
Close the hood and give her hell.
Soem say the enigne may run weird, but mine didn't. I noticed a snappy throttle response and more get-up-and-go.
if ya need help, email me.
Chris
