 Subject: 2004 Range edge? How Quick?

Got a buddy that just got a new 2004 ranger edge that wants to line them up.
he's got the 4.0L with 3.55's and absolutly no
mods.
I have a 98 dakota with 3.55's and simple
mods like the intake and exaust and iat adjuster,
(had to sell pretty much all my mods!)
what are my chances of pulling away?
also, its my b-day soon and i need to
get some more mods back on the truck.
what would you sugest for around $200?
I was thinking a electric fan setup, what
one should i get?
