 Subject: Injector question

I have a 89 dak and today the right or pass side injector just started dumping fuel into the engine while tring to start it.I removed the torx screw and disconected the injector thinking it was bad.I switched the plug from the other injector and the injector worked fine.So now i haved jumped the gound from both conectors togather so not to lose power and it runs fine with the check engine light on but i need to know why the injector circut is staying open instead of pulsating.Please help. I like this truck and want it to run right and not be afro enginered to run like it is now.Thanks Cadfreak56.

Oh and by the way i have only 6k on this engine but the chassis has 180k.
