the duration on that cam is 240, cuz i have it, i have headers, and make sure you tell the people those are the 2wd headers, not the 4 (they are different) the oil pan isnt much of an improvement, and the only thing that people need that isnt available anymore is the 4bbl intake

no he cant, the headers are $125, the manifold is $252, the cam is $113, the springs are $60, valve covers are $60, you might wanna jump on that price, since that is about the only intake manifold you can find in the country, i tried

If you don't sell on eBay, you think you'll sell any of it separate? If the price is right there's a coule of things I might be interested in.

Spencer, thanks for your above post. I was interested in the headers too, but not now. My Dak is 4x4.

Hey Orange, Keep us posted on the 440. What year is your Dak? I've already been dreamin' about when my v6 goes, several years from now,I hope, that I want to put a 440 in it. Used to have a 70 Charger R/T.

Cool cars guys, I love every one of them. Also had a 68 & 69 Road Runner, the 69 was acually my ex's, had it when we were first married. So I sold my 68. The 69 was kick ass. I loved opening that car up, (not road racing of coarse), but when you'd hit about 100 the wiper's would go woosh and flip to the other side. It was stock as a rock, nobody ever beat it road racing. It's a shame we never took it to the track. aah yes maybe a 383 in my Dak. I loved the Charger best, tho, have to have another 440, I think. Would be awesome in one of these little trucks. Post some picture's guys. Would love to see your cars.

I see that the parts have generated a little interest. On the cam I noticed someone had stated that it was 240 duration so I will give a full listing of what the catalog(and the box) says. When I listed it as 280 duration I must have been sleepwalking! the cam is 430/450 lift with an advertised duration of 260/268 and overlap is 44.The cam centerline is 110 and the installed centerline is 108.The catalog states that it is for light competition and high performance RV applications.
As you had stated earlier the headers are for a 2wd Dakota.
As far as the price goes I might consider a little less than the "buy it now" price but I will let e-bay run it's course before I start dealing parts out piece by piece.I still have a couple of Dakota's and a 39 Plymouth coupe that the V6 would look good in but lately I have been concentrating on the 4 inch stroke cranks in the 5.9 magnum blocks. They are a lot easier to install in a Dakota than a big block and still make some great torque, enough to scare a Mustang owner to death!
I have a 92 Dakota extended cab with a stock 5.9 long block and some Gibson headers($30 at a swap meet)and a single plane MPI intake from Mopar Performance. It runs pretty good but I am going to put a stroker motor in this winter.
I've had an 8 3/4 in my truck for years because I wanted to use the bigger rear brakes-11 by 2.5,and I cahnged my front rotors to the 5 lug from an earlier Dakota so I could run cheaper and more available wheels.I just recently went back to the 8 1/4 rear with a posi so that I could have the anti-lock brakes with the 11 by 2.5 rear drums.I've had about 7 Dakotas in the past 10 years.

I forgot to mention that I have a couple of used cams that were spinoffs of a 3.9 project that a friend of mine did.One is a hydraulic roller with the short front snout like the magnums had,it is around a 430 lift with the 1.5 rocker or a 459 lift with the 1.6 rocker. The duration is 286 and the centerline is 108.This was custom ground by Comp Cams.
If you want to get really stupid with a 3.9 I have a Comp Cams solid lifter cam and lifters that has around 620 lift and 312 duration(can we say bumpity bump?)I still have the valve springs and everything for that one.
If you want to get really crazy my buddy still has the entire 3.9 V6 from this project that had over $20,000 invested and has everything from custom headers to a sheet metal custom intake.
He would probably let it go for a few thousand dollars and cut his losses at this point. All of the dyno sheets and everything are still available.
Just a point of interest on the parts I have for sale. The intake that is listed is a pre production version of the Mopar Performance intake that you ordered from the catalog. It doesnt have any of the casting numbers and it dont have the Mopar Performance logo cast into it.The casting itself also differs slightly from the MP piece.I got this from an R&D shop in Detroit.

Sounds like everybody here has got some cool $hit! I'm 17 and I currently have 2 1987 Dakotas, one is a 3.9 with 246,000 miles, which still runs surprisingly good but it isn't really pretty, and the other has a 2.2 5speed recently rebuilt and the truck is in almost new condition. It's an Arkansas truck with absolutely no rust and very few dings or scratches. I also have a 1972 Charger with a 340 4speed which I'm currently searching for parts for, and it's getting a full restoration over the next few years.
