I've been thinking about put a KN air filter on my dakota. Can you tell any differance at all? I've already got the V8 throttle body, which helps out alot.

Let me know so I can make up my mind if I want to buy one of those expensive air filters or not.

Thanks!
Nick

Yes they will flow more air and you don't have to
replace them just clean and re oil and away you
go.

The recharger kit is around $10 from K&N

You will probably notice better gas mileage

Although many people say otherwise, along with a homemade cold air intake, the K+N drop-in with a K+N foam prefilter has been one of the best mods I have made. Immediate notice of increased throttle response and a slight improvement in gas mileage. I was spending about 8 bucks every 3 months for a new paper filter but the K+N has proved to be very durable and easy to clean. Has almost paid for itself...

Even if its just a K&N drop in, its worth the extra $$$ I noticed a difference and I haven't even done the whole intake mod--just the drop in filter. The K&N (as advertised) flows more air into your intake. Just make sure you take out the rubber flap by the radiator that restricts your intake(if you haven't done so already)
