On my 93 v6 w/128000, when I push the accelerator down to put it in passing gear, it hesitates before downshifting a couple of seconds. Any ideas

Engine hesitation or trans,
First thing to do with a trans is change the fluid
and filter it will solve a lot of problems and
than go from there.
It may also be your TV cable is streached and
needs to be readjusted
