topic says it all. the only mods to date on my 97 3.9L w/5speed are: iat sensor re-locate,carbed breather, timing advance, and single flowmaster dumped. need to know which gear to go with. i can get a whole rear for like $175 w/3.90's. would that be better? cheaper? than say some 4.10's or even 4.30's or 4.56's. i dont even know the size of my rear. and i do pull a trailer a lot. maybe 500lbs to say 3350lbs.(my stang)

JUMP on that 3.90 rear set up!!! thats a good deal, seeing as the gears are like about 200?? 3.90s are real good for the 3.9's some people say the 4.10 are too much and doesent help much.

Sounds like a good price on the 3:90 rear end. I have a 2003 3.9 automatic. It had a 3:55 and was really dead. I changed it to a 4:10 and really like it. Fuel milage is improved by 1 or2 MPG. I gained about 300 rpms at 70 mph. Didn't have to recalibrate anything, speedometer is right on.
