I once put a cherry bomb in a muffler. The muffler blew up. I really would try it if i were you. I have not however used turbo. I've heard it fast though. Hope this helps.

I have a 96 Dakota Sport V6 with a fiew mods and it is one good looking truck. With good looks you need good sound, so I replaced the stock muffler.

Since then I have been through 3 mufflers.

The first was A Cherrybomb turbo and it did not sound bad. It sounded kinda loud for my taste but I enjoyed it. It did not rattle the cab too bad and it sounded cool at idle.

Later I had a problem with the cat converter and it injured the muffler so I went to try a new approach.

Next came a Thrush glasspack and what a mistake that was, in that it was too dam loud and it rattled the cab fierce. The only good point was that it made a cool wisp sound every time I shifted.

Finally I went onto this site and asked these guys and ended up putting in a Dynomax Super Turbo and I am completely happy with it.

It sounded nearly stock at idle and very cool accelerating without rattling the cab, and it even had that cool wisp sound while shifting.

I learned that it is all on your preference and the Cherrybomb is not too bad especially for the price.

Just my 2 Cents.....

P.S.- Wait till you see the performance gains which are not bad for just replacing a muffler.
