My friend has an s10 and his trans was screwing with him so they found a leak fixed the seal and changed his shift points he said there diff but not any faster.....could i go to my my local dodge dealer and have my shift points changed for being a lil quicker kinda of like the torque and h.p. is spread over a shorter amount of speed between gear or will it act like a new rear end...or what...any suggestions?

do a search on adjusting your throttle valve cable.. you can do it at home

If you move the cable back towards the cab it will
shift higher.

Forward lower.

Depending on year, the older ones had a botton
newer a clip under a cover you have to relocate.

It will not make the shifts firmer or faster
just higher rpm

depends on the peak HP of your engine. Fastest acceleration comes when the engine stays at the RPM that gives highest HP. So shifting too soon will rob potential power, but shifting too late will cause you to top out before going up to the next gear.
